Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a regional strategy for North Germany (Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) aligned with the Industrial Heat Tracing strategy, focusing on direct sales, value selling, and upselling.
  • Collaborate with local partners and develop long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Prioritize Life Cycle Services, including plant audits, inspections, and annual service contracts.
  • Implement a regional upselling workflow and manage account plans for key clients (EPC, End Users, OEMs).
  • Identify and qualify project opportunities, ensuring pricing agreements are in place.
  • Deliver seminars, training, and lunch & learns to key customer groups.
  • Ensure strong technical specifications and positioning early in projects to become the partner of choice.
  • Support the BIS team with joint visits and promote new products/services to clients.
  • Monitor competitors, regional threats, and propose action plans.

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to grow scope and build client relationships.
  • Use CRM (Salesforce) to track sales, activities, and project updates.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports, analyze hit rates, and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Follow the PDCA approach with regular updates on actions and performance.
  • Maintain sales and project information in Salesforce, and meet sales and profit targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sales background, especially in complex industrial solutions.
  • Deep market knowledge of the refinery, oil & gas, chemicals, petrochemicals, renewable energy, and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in German and English.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRM systems (Salesforce), and target-driven environments.
  • Valid driving license.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of electrical heat tracing or low voltage power distribution.
  • Experience in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, and energy transition industries.

Working Conditions

  • Home office and travel-based role (up to 50% travel).
  • Occasional customer or nVent facility visits.
