About Constructor University\n\nConstructor University (formerly Jacobs University Bremen gGmbH) is a private, state-accredited, English-language research university in Bremen. Currently, more than 1,500 students from over 100 nations live and study on our residential campus.\n\n## About the Role\n\nWe are seeking a VP of People to take genuine ownership of our HR team and the development of people processes across the company. You will receive optimal preparation for your area of responsibility during your induction.\n\n### Your Responsibilities:\n\n* Management of the Human Resources department (12 employees) and the Internal Service Center (8 employees)\n* Implementation, further development, and shaping of the internal HR strategy\n* Development and optimization of talent acquisition processes\n* Design and continuous improvement of on-boarding and adaptation programs\n* Support effective integration and retention of new employees\n* Implementation of performance management frameworks and KPIs, including goal setting, feedback, and evaluation cycles\n* Shaping and implementing organizational and people development processes in cooperation with the executive board\n* Leadership of organizational development projects and management of change processes\n* Close cooperation with the works council\n* Consulting and supporting the management team in all personnel matters\n* Support and implementation of personnel and labor law measures\n* Responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the personnel budget\n* Further development of all personnel processes in Human Resources with the help of software and process design\n* Strengthening organizational culture, employee engagement, and cross-department collaboration\n* Leadership of HR digitalization projects\n\n### Your Qualifications:\n\n* Higher degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Labor Law, or equivalent qualification\n* Several years of professional experience in Human Resources, including leadership responsibility\n* Strong expertise in labor and tax law, cooperation with works councils, organizational development, and change management, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization\n* Proactive and highly responsive mindset with strong stakeholder orientation\n* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, stress resistance, empathy, and assertiveness\n* Fluency in English and German (written and verbal)\n\n### We Offer:\n\n* Trust-based working hours for work-life balance\n* Individual on-boarding, career, and development planning\n* Company fitness program offers with EGYM Well Pass (former Qualitrain)\n* Green campus with recreation areas (take the tour: https://www.jacobs-university.de/campustour/)\n* Campus-based working environment with the possibility to work from home a few days per month\n* Constructor University has extensive programs on sustainability, environmental sustainability, equal opportunities, and high ethical values.\n* Benefits: Wellness Program
