Overview

As a global strategy house continues its five-year trajectory of impressive growth across the DACH region, Consulting Point is looking to identify experienced consultants to join their German practice. This firm is distinct in the market for focusing on high-priority engagements where the decisions involve C-suite stakeholders at FTSE 100 companies, typically involving private equity-backed businesses or firms moving away from positions of distress.

The Role

The work sits at the intersection of strategic advisory and hands-on delivery, focusing specifically on performance improvement, supply chain optimisation, and large-scale cost reduction. Unlike traditional strategy roles that remain purely theoretical, this environment requires individuals who enjoy being involved throughout the lifecycle of a project and are comfortable taking on significant delivery responsibility, including potential interim assignments.

Given the nature of the client base, candidates must have a background in a top-tier strategy firm, Big 4 consulting environment or boutique Operations consulting specialist, with specific expertise in leading operational workstreams. The practice supports a highly flexible working model, allowing you to be based anywhere in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, with the ability to work from home when you are not required on a client site.

Requirements

Success in this role requires a minimum of four to thirteen years of professional consulting experience, specifically within operations or performance improvement. You should be able to demonstrate a track record of leading projects where the primary stakeholder is at the board level. Fluency in both German and English to a C2 level is essential, alongside full rights to work within the EU or Switzerland. Academic credentials from a top-tier university are also a prerequisite for this firm.
