Key Account Manager, Germany

Consumer Electronics | Retail Channel | Home-Based

We're supporting a fast-growing consumer electronics business that is looking to appoint a Key Account Manager for Germany/DACH.

This is a great opportunity to join a business representing a portfolio of exciting, high-growth consumer electronics brands, several of which are already performing strongly in their categories, with plenty of further growth still to unlock.

About the business

Our client is a dynamic consumer electronics organisation working with a mix of established and emerging brands across the German market.

The business has grown quickly and is now looking for additional commercial support across its German retail channel. The team is small, ambitious and highly commercial, with a culture built around trust, ownership and accountability.

You'll be given the freedom to manage your accounts with autonomy, while having the support of an experienced leadership team around you.

This role is fully home-based, with travel across Germany as required.

The role

As Key Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key retail and e-commerce customers across Germany.

These could include retailers such as MediaMarkt, Saturn, Expert, Euronics, Cyberport, Otto, Conrad, Alternate or similar retail and online partners.

You'll take ownership of commercial performance across your accounts, including:

  • Account planning and customer strategy
  • Trading terms, pricing and promotional planning
  • Retail execution and range development
  • Forecasting and stock planning
  • Building relationships across buying, category and commercial teams
  • Developing both existing and new customer opportunities
  • Driving growth across a portfolio of 5 to 6 brands and multiple SKUs

The accounts are already trading well, but there is a significant opportunity to expand distribution, improve visibility and grow market share across several brands.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for someone with experience managing German retail accounts, ideally within consumer electronics, mobile accessories, gaming, technology, lifestyle products, consumer hardlines or a similar non-food category.

You'll likely have worked with major German retailers, distributors or eCommerce customers, and be confident managing multiple brands, products and commercial priorities at the same time.

Salary:

The salary is €70,000-€80,000 per annum, with a bonus scheme on top.
