About the Role
Cumulocity is looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Legal Operations Specialist to join our growing legal function. This is a career role for someone who combines solid legal instincts with a process-oriented mindset and genuine enthusiasm for how technology --- including AI --- can make legal work faster and smarter.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, who also serves as Managing Director of Cumulocity and leads the Legal function, you will be the primary point of contact for contract support across the business, own our digital contract management and eSignature platform (SpotDraft), and help build the foundations of a scalable legal operations function. This is a staff function (Stabstelle) without personnel responsibility.
You'll be closely working with leaders across the organization, our sales teams and support functions as well as with our internal legal counsel in the same team.
This role can be based remotely in Germany, with hybrid collaboration where useful. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or entity-related matters in other jurisdictions.

- Track contract status, renewals, and key obligations; proactively flag upcoming deadlines to relevant stakeholders.
Legal Entity Management
- Maintain corporate records, statutory registers, and entity data for the parent company and its ~20 global subsidiaries.
- Support annual filings, good-standing maintenance, and coordination with local advisors and notaries across jurisdictions.
- Assist with entity lifecycle tasks (incorporation, maintenance, restructuring) under guidance from senior management or external counsel.
Legal Technology & AI Tools
- Champion the adoption of legal technology tools across the team, including AI-powered contract review, drafting assistance, and workflow automation.
- Stay current on emerging legal AI tools and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
- Train and support colleagues in using legal tech tools effectively.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in law, business administration, legal studies, or a closely related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a legal operations, paralegal, in-house legal, or contract management role

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Genuine interest in legal technology and AI tools --- you don't just tolerate change, you drive it
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of corporate law basics and legal entity management
- Some of the following qualifications would be a plus:
- Experience in a SaaS, tech, or B2B company
- German language skills (written and spoken) are a plus
- Experience with GDPR, data privacy, or other compliance frameworks
