Become part of our Cybus Product Team as a Senior Technical Product Manager (gn) and take responsibility as the most important interface between our engineering team and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Bridging Technology and Business: You translate complex technical challenges (e.g., refactoring, security, protocol updates) into tangible business value and integrate them into the official roadmap.
• Driving Technical Discovery: You work closely with the Lead Software Architect and the Agile Delivery Lead to specify requirements for high-tech features (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, container architecture).
• Synchronizing Processes: You re-establish alignment between Product and Engineering by transitioning from a "pull-when-ready" approach to a reliable planning routine together with the Agile Delivery Lead.
• Ensuring Risk Management: You balance "feature hype" and "technical debt" to ensure the long-term stability of the platform.
• Owning the Backlog: You take full responsibility for the technical backlog, ensuring the engineering team works on the agreed-upon priorities.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Technical Background (Mandatory): Completed degree in computer science or comparable qualification, or several years of experience as a developer or solution architect. Profound understanding of APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and software and system architectures.
• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management for B2B software solutions, ideally in the areas of Industrial IoT, Edge Computing, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, and S7, as well as message brokers like MQTT or Kafka.
• Mindset and Work Style: Ability to critically question technical decisions at the engineering level while ensuring constructive, partnership-based collaboration.
• Language Skills: Very good German skills (minimum C1 level) are mandatory. Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.

Bonus Points For

• Cloud and Integration Competence: Experience with the Azure Marketplace and cloud integrations.
• IT Security Knowledge: Basic understanding of cybersecurity, especially concerning IEC 62443.
• Transformation Experience: Experience in evolving "Waterfall" or "Pull" based work models towards agile ways of working and processes.
