Ihre Aufgaben (Your Responsibilities)
As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor, Employment Law, you will:
- Research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice, customer needs, and business objectives.
- Review and edit content contributed by colleagues and external experts.
- Stay updated on legal, practice, and market developments to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Utilize your legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused Thomson Reuters' AI-powered legal solutions.
- Apply your legal expertise and editorial skills to aid in the development and application of internal AI editorial tools.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the legal market, our customers' evolving needs, and competitors. This includes:
- Engaging effectively with customers, consultation boards, and contributors.
- Collaborating with various business units to gain insights into business strategies, products, sales, marketing, and technology development.
- Attend training events, conferences, and talks, and network with customers, potential customers, and industry leaders.
- Contribute to the development of Practical Law Germany and Practical Law overall.
- Leverage your specialist legal knowledge to assist the wider Thomson Reuters team, collaborating with product management, sales, marketing, and technology functions as needed.
Ihr Profil (Your Profile)
Practical Law content is primarily in English. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. You are a strong candidate if you are a German-qualified lawyer with excellent English writing and communication skills and possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as an employment lawyer in a German law firm or in-house.
- Substantial experience in German employment law.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills in English, with a passion for accurately, concisely, and plainly writing about legal practice.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within teams.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in utilizing various tools, including generative AI technologies, to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Adaptability and flexibility to handle diverse projects and tasks within the generative AI space and emerging technologies.
- A curious mindset, particularly regarding the intersection of AI and legal practice, and openness to change.
- Experience using AI tools in legal work.
- Excellent knowledge of online research databases.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and in a matrixed environment, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Proficient translation skills (German to English and vice versa).
Education/Certification Required:
- Must be qualified to practice law in Germany.
