Responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Manager for Financing in the major project VDE 8.1 Freight Train Tunnel Fürth (m/f/d) to join DB InfraGO AG at our Nuremberg location as soon as possible. The Fürth freight train tunnel is part of the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan and is classified as a priority. The project is part of the major VDE 8.1 ABS project. The realization of the freight train tunnel begins in 2026, making it one of the most significant construction measures in the region in the coming years. Be part of the team and work with our technical colleagues on the successful implementation of the projects.

Your Tasks:

  • In your role, you will ensure the financing of the major project in compliance with grant law across all service phases.
  • You will be responsible for the timely and high-quality preparation of applications for fund releases and planning changes to the funding agency.
  • You will also plausibilize and validate the draft design (cost planning, explanatory reports, planning documents) from a financing perspective.
  • You will be in continuous exchange, particularly with the technical and commercial project stakeholders, as well as the Federal Railway Authority (EBA).
  • You will be the point of contact for colleagues in the project regarding questions about funding eligibility.
  • You will review and process contracts, orders, and amendments from a financing perspective.
  • You will also monitor and manage fund releases.

Profile

Your Profile:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Management, or a comparable commercial qualification with many years of professional experience.
  • You have sound experience in the commercial processing of infrastructure projects.
  • Initial experience in grant law and public financing is desirable, or a high willingness to learn to acquire or deepen this knowledge quickly.
  • You possess a strong technical understanding.
  • Your analytical and conceptual thinking skills, your sense of responsibility, and your quick grasp distinguish you.
  • You impress with your eloquent and stylistically confident language skills and enjoy formulating.
  • Strong communication, assertiveness, and teamwork skills are among your strengths.
  • You also have good user skills in MS Office and ideally in iTWO.
