We're working with a high-growth Berlin-based fintech scale-up building embedded finance solutions. Their platform enables businesses to integrate payments, banking, and financial services directly into their products, and they're now scaling rapidly post-launch.

The Role

A senior leadership position bridging engineering, product, and business. You'll lead a cross-functional team (~10 engineers), own platform architecture, and help scale both the technology and organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a cross-functional engineering team
Own platform architecture and technical direction
Collaborate with product, clients, and stakeholders
Drive engineering standards, delivery, and scalability
Support hiring and team growth

Tech Environment

Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud), AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, MongoDB, Redis, CI/CD

Requirements

Strong Java and cloud architecture experience
Proven team leadership in agile environments
Background in platform or fintech systems
Hands-on technical leadership capability
Strong communication and stakeholder skills
