Are you excited about autonomous driving and eager to gain hands-on experience in vehicle testing? In this junior role, you'll support the physical validation of advanced driving functions and work closely with experienced engineers on real-world test scenarios.
This position is limited to 1 year due to its project-based nature. An extension may be possible but cannot be guaranteed.
What You Can Expect
- Support the physical validation of autonomous driving functions through structured testing on proving grounds, contributing to the safety and reliability of future mobility.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test cases to ensure complete and traceable test coverage.
- Contribute to deriving test cases from SOTIF requirements, helping assess relevant and safety-critical driving scenarios.
- Help plan and coordinate testing activities in close cooperation with the on-site test team, ensuring smooth execution.
- Support the documentation and evaluation of test results, including issue tracking and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the execution of test strategies for validating new software versions and feature sets.
- Participate in regular test operations at the AD test facility in Munich, helping maintain the continuity of vehicle testing activities.
What You Bring
- Completed degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or a comparable discipline.
- First experience or a strong interest in vehicle testing, ideally in ADAS or autonomous driving environments.
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems, sensor technology, and test procedures for automated driving.
- Initial exposure to vehicle bus systems such as CAN or Ethernet and related testing tools is a plus.
- Interest in working with current standards such as SOTIF or ISO 26262 in the context of physical testing.
- Motivation to learn and apply structured test methodologies in real-world environments.
- Basic knowledge of tools like Canoe, Jira, or Confluence is an advantage.
- Class B driving license and experience as a driver.
- Team-oriented working style and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-site testing activities on proving grounds.
- Good proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken.
