Your Role: Senior Software Engineer (M/F/D)

As a Senior Software Engineer, you occupy the sweet spot between deep technical execution and strategic advisory. You'll have the autonomy to design resilient architectures while acting as a high-level technical partner for our clients, helping them navigate the bridge from a visionary idea to a scalable reality. Your time is split between hands-on development (approx. 60%) and technical conceptualization & consulting (approx. 40%).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop Products Holistically: Lead projects from technical estimation through implementation to cloud deployment. Define the technical strategy that makes a product viable and sustainable.
  • Consult at Eye-Level: Advise clients ranging from startups to international players. Translate complex concepts into clear business trade-offs, acting as a technical sparring partner for both client leadership and our internal teams.
  • Leverage Modern Tooling: Choose the right tool for the job, including building custom code, utilizing AI to enhance product capabilities, or implementing No-code and Low-code solutions.
  • Move from Idea to Impact: Validate solutions by building fast prototypes, evolving them into robust production code, and managing the underlying cloud infrastructure.
  • Co-shape Engineering: Drive technical discussions and evaluate emerging technologies. Mentor peers and establish standards to raise our collective engineering bar.

You're the one we are looking for, if:

  • You are a software architect by heart, viewing languages and frameworks as tools guided by computer science basics. You know when to invest in architectural planning and when to build pragmatically.
  • You are a structured generalist with a quality-first mindset and a structured approach to problems, utilizing an agile mindset and patterns like Domain-Driven Design.
  • You thrive on variety and enjoy the agency context, finding excitement in switching between different industries and technical challenges.
  • You are an eye-to-eye consultant, enjoying communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and driving technical discussions.

Your Value-Add:

  • Experience: 5+ years in building digital products, with at least 2 years in a leading architectural or technical consulting role.
  • Technical Breadth: Full-stack generalist familiar with the interplay between Frontend, Backend, and DevOps. TypeScript is our primary language.
  • Innovative Mindset: Eagerness to utilize AI, No-code, and Low-code platforms.
  • Cloud Literacy: Proven experience in building and deploying modern cloud applications, understanding architectural impacts on costs and maintainability.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in English. Proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
