Senior Data Scientist (gn) fulltime/parttime (hybrid)
Your Role at DKV Mobility
As a Senior Data Scientist (gn) at DKV Mobility, you'll be a key player in a leading European B2B platform for on-the-road payment solutions. You'll work in an exciting environment focused on driving the transition towards an efficient and sustainable future of mobility. We offer numerous opportunities to shape the mobility of tomorrow in a dynamic and agile setting. Join our diverse team of approximately 2,700 employees across Europe, united by a passion for delivering excellence to customers in over 50 countries. Our motto: "You drive, we care."
What You Can Expect
- Data-Driven Analysis & Recommendations: Take full responsibility for data-driven analyses and independently derive actionable recommendations to maximize business value.
- Advanced Statistical Methods: Develop and apply advanced statistical methods (e.g., regression models, time series analyses, ML/AI algorithms). Collaborate closely with stakeholders and management to translate analytical results into clear, compelling business insights.
- ML Pipeline Development: Design and maintain robust end-to-end ML pipelines (data, features, models, scoring), including testing, versioning, documentation, and establishing MLOps standards (CI/CD, model registry, monitoring, data quality checks, incident handling).
- Credit & Risk Management Focus: Own the SmartRisk Engine (feature strategy, training/retraining, calibration, backtesting, drift monitoring, and model explainability via SHAP/Reason Codes). Implement data-driven use cases like loss databases, early-warning systems, limit/exposure steering, clustering, and portfolio insights.
- Cloud-Based Data Science Solutions: Develop new cloud-based Data Science solutions, primarily in Python and SQL, to drive measurable business value. Knowledge in credit risk (e.g., PD, EAD, LGD, rating, IFRS 9/ECL) and experience with SAP and Power BI are ideal.
- Mentorship & Innovation: Mentor and guide other Data Scientists, encourage innovative thinking, share updates on data & ML advancements, and actively support the professional growth of the team.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience: Several years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, with confident application of statistical methods, regression models, time series analyses, classical ML techniques, and modern AI algorithms.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Python and SQL for independently developing value-adding, cloud-based solutions. Experience with Generative AI use cases (LLMs, RAG systems, "talk-to-your-data" interfaces) is highly desirable.
- MLOps Expertise: Solid experience in building robust end-to-end ML pipelines and establishing/maintaining MLOps standards (CI/CD, model registry, monitoring, quality checks).
- Credit Risk Domain Knowledge: Ownership of risk models (e.g., SmartRisk Engine) and application of explainability methods (SHAP, Reason Codes) in the Credit & Risk Management area. Prior domain knowledge in credit risk (PD, EAD, LGD, rating, IFRS 9) and experience with SAP and Power BI are ideal.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business units, IT, and management. Clearly present complex analytical results and mentor other Data Scientists.
