What You Can Expect

  • Manage current taxes for the German entities of the corporate group.
  • Independently and fully prepare and file tax balance sheets or reconciliation statements, as well as tax returns and e-balance sheets for German group entities.
  • Take ownership of the entire tax lifecycle: ongoing tax advisory, financial statement preparation, tax filings, and tax audits.
  • Play a key role in the continuous digitalization of the tax function in the area of current taxes (interim reporting, tax filings, e-balance sheets, etc.).
  • Handle complex areas of tax law, e.g., the German Reorganization Tax Act (UmwStG), the Foreign Tax Act (AStG), and the Minimum Tax Act (MinStG).
  • Manage tax-related interfaces with international group entities concerning profit distributions and intercompany relationships.
  • Prepare complex tax opinions, recommendations, and legal remedies. Independently handle inquiries from tax authorities and internal/external advisors in Germany and abroad. Review tax matters related to contract structures, agreements, market entries, and new products.
  • Contribute to IFRS tax accounting and reporting, including preparing tax-related information and disclosures for the IFRS consolidated financial statements.
  • Contribute to M&A tax activities.
  • Take responsibility for special projects, such as implementing legislative changes, integrating new business areas, or establishing branches in additional countries.
  • Coordinate appointed domestic and international advisors.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Successfully completed a degree in economics or financial sciences with above-average results.
  • Three years of professional experience in tax advisory or within a company, ideally in an international environment.
  • Fluent English skills.
  • Enjoy the tax-related analysis of business models and working with/further developing digital tools.
  • Strong intercultural competence.
