Your Responsibilities

We develop and operate a cloud-based platform based on Kubernetes for the regulated operation of SaaS services. As a DevOps Engineer focusing on Kubernetes Deployments, you will support us in bringing applications of the msg group securely, stably, and according to best practices onto our platform and operating them there. You will work closely with platform, operations, and application teams and be the central point of contact for SaaS designs, deployments, and GitOps workflows.

• Deployment and 3rd Level Support of applications on a Kubernetes-based SaaS platform
• Implementation of GitOps-based deployments
• Support for application teams (software providers) during onboarding onto the platform
• Ensuring compliance with platform best practices (Kubernetes hardening, security specifications, and deployment standards)
• Design and implementation of deployment, release, and rollback strategies
• Setup and utilization of monitoring, logging, and alerting concepts
• Support with security topics (Secrets, IAM, RBAC, Policies)
• Involvement in SaaS service design (sizing, capacity planning, requirements analysis)
• Collaboration with operations in the context of 3rd-level support and root cause analyses
• Documentation of best practices, deployments, and operating models
• Creation of operational documentation and quality assurance of delivered software artifacts

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering environment
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes (deployment, operation, troubleshooting)
• Experience with GitOps approaches and tools such as ArgoCD, Helm, and Kustomize
• In-depth knowledge of logging (Loki, ELK), monitoring & alerting (Prometheus, Grafana), and security (RBAC, Network Policies, Secrets, Pod Security)
• Understanding of SaaS architectures and operating models
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Ideally, knowledge of Crossplane and Keycloak
• Good communication skills and enjoyment of cross-team collaboration
• Good German language skills (at least B2/C1)

Certifications (Advantageous)

• CKAD -- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
• CKA / CKS - Certified Kubernetes Administrator / Security Specialist
• Cloud certifications (AWS)
