Regional Head of Transport and Distribution

Regional Head of Transportation & Distribution (FMCG) - Cologne, Germany (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Regional Head of Transportation & Distribution to lead our high‑volume FMCG logistics network across the EMEA region. Based in Cologne (hybrid), you will own transport operations, DC performance, carrier strategy, and customer delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end transportation strategy across road, parcel, pallet, and international flows
• Manage distribution centre operations and 3PL performance
• Deliver best‑in‑class OTIF/DIFOT performance to major retailers and e-commerce partners
• Own logistics budgets and drive cost efficiencies through optimisation and tendering
• Ensure compliance with German & EU transport regulations
• Lead digital logistics initiatives (TMS/WMS, visibility tools, automation)
• Drive continuous improvement using LEAN/Kaizen
• Lead and develop a high‑performing logistics team

Requirements

• 10 years' logistics leadership experience (open to industry, FMCG is preferred)
• Strong background in transportation networks, 3PL management, and DC operations
• Proven success delivering service excellence in high-speed, seasonal FMCG environments
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Experience with SAP/TMS/WMS systems
• Fluent English and German
