About E-FARM

E-FARM is transforming how farmers across Europe buy and sell used agricultural machinery. From our base in Hamburg, we've facilitated over €150M in transactions and are backed by CLAAS and leading European VCs. We're a fast-growing, tech-driven startup with an international team committed to bringing trust, transparency, and efficiency to agricultural trade.

As we continue to scale, building an outstanding employee experience is essential---and that's where you come in.

Your challenge

As a People & Culture Intern, you will play an active role across the full HR lifecycle and contribute to making E-FARM an exceptional place to work. You'll support both operational HR tasks and culture initiatives while learning how HR works inside a fast-growing scale-up.

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Define hiring targets together with founders and team leads
  • Support creating/optimizing job profiles
  • Screen applications and shortlist candidates
  • Conduct first-round interviews and coordinate next steps
  • Maintain clear communication with candidates and stakeholders

People Operations

  • Facilitate onboarding & offboarding processes
  • Complete daily HR administrative tasks (contracts, documentation, letters, etc.)
  • Keep employee records organized and up to date in Personio
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and HR standards
  • Serve as the go-to person for everyday employee questions or issues

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Organize team gatherings, internal events, and office rituals
  • Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and team cohesion
  • Help maintain a positive "feel-good" atmosphere in the office
  • Contribute ideas to improve our culture, communication, and ways of working
  • Promote E-FARM's values in everything you do

Your profile

  • Enrolled at a non-German Erasmus university (ideally near graduation)
  • Available for at least 6 months in Hamburg
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal empathy
  • Critical HR judgement and a high sense of confidentiality & professionalism
  • Confident and comfortable interacting with candidates and colleagues
  • Proactive, well-organized, and motivated to take ownership
  • Bonus: Familiarity with HR tools (e.g., Personio) or event organization experience

Our proposition

  • €1,000/month on top of your Erasmus grant
  • Hands-on experience across recruiting, HR operations, and company culture
  • Involvement in real HR processes---not just observing
  • Mentorship from experienced People & Culture professionals
  • A modern, centrally located office in Hamburg
  • A diverse, international team and regular team events
  • A mission-driven scale-up environment with room to grow
  • Potential full-time career path after your internship
