Role Overview

Eaton's EMEA Sales & Marketing organisation is seeking a Vice President EMEA Segment Sales for Data Center. This leadership role, reporting to the VP EMEA Sales & Marketing, is responsible for defining and executing sales and market strategies for Data Centers across the EMEA region. The focus is on developing and implementing technology, process, and talent strategies to achieve business objectives and drive Eaton's success in the data center industry.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Build and manage a high-performing commercial team proficient in delivering products, services, and solutions for complex, multi-country data center projects.
  • Directly manage an extended sales team and ensure effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, including product business units, quotation engineering, project management, services, segment marketing, and country sales organizations.
  • Oversee and support key account managers in building cross-functional extended account teams, essential for large multinational projects.

Business Performance & Growth

  • Responsible for overall Data Center commercial performance in EMEA, focusing on sales revenue, growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Achieve commercial targets within the Data Center segment, encompassing critical electrical power systems and digital systems.
  • Drive growth in client numbers and countries served.

Sales & Commercial Management

  • Develop, communicate, and implement effective sales growth plans and customer account plans.
  • Key metrics include revenue growth, profitability, new account acquisition, new territories, and overall sales proficiency.
  • Ensure effective reporting of sales performance to Segment and Regional Leadership.
  • Collaborate with other regions to support global accounts and programs.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of adjacent functions such as tender proposals, commercial offers, contracts, project management, services, and marketing.
  • Secure Eaton's interests through effective negotiation and build credibility with clients and stakeholders.

Strategy & Pre-Sales Support

  • Engage with the Data Center segment strategy market leader and business units on market and customer attributes impacting Eaton's products, applications, and offers.
  • Oversee the effective operation of engineering quotation teams for tender proposals and commercial offers.
  • Support and manage the pre-sales engineering team, responsible for client, consultant, and contractor engagement on engineering aspects of Eaton's Data Center portfolio.

Location & Travel

  • Flexible location across the EMEA region with a hybrid work pattern.
  • International travel is essential for customer engagement, team leadership, and operational alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • 10 years of related experience in the 3-phase UPS Data Center business.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and coordinate others.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, high customer affinity, and strong influencing skills.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to relate to leaders of target customers.
  • Proven ability to lead change and implement new tools and processes.
