ECDB GmbH is an e-commerce market intelligence provider founded in 2022. The company collects and analyzes worldwide e-commerce transaction data, enriched with comprehensive information on online retailers, countries, regions, and markets, to generate structured insights into the development of global digital commerce. Based on these data-driven analyses, ECDB enables companies to better understand market dynamics, benchmark performance against competitors, and support strategic decision-making within the international e-commerce landscape.
Tasks
As a Working Student (m/f/d) in the Data team, you will support us in research and quality assurance of data in the eCommerce sector. You will work closely with our team, taking on supportive tasks to efficiently provide high-quality data and ensure data accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on companies in the eCommerce sector
- Systematic data collection of characteristics of online stores (e.g. payment and delivery methods)
- Open desk research and preparation of relevant key figures for our database
Requirements
- Enrolled in a German university, majoring in Economics and Social Sciences, Politics, Sociology, Psychology, or a comparable field with at least one year remaining until graduation. Please state your expected end-of-study month and year in your CV
- Independent and diligent work with a high degree of reliability
- Basic understanding of eCommerce and general economic contexts
- Practical MS Excel experience is a plus
- Fluent in English, German language skills are a plus
- Availability to work 15 - 20 hours/week, including 1-2 office days per week (home office possible)
- Ideally: Located in Hamburg
