The Opportunity

A well-funded, fast-growing AI software company in the procurement technology sector is hiring its first dedicated Business Account Executive. This is a highly visible, early commercial hire, working closely with the founders who have personally closed all customers to date.

The company has an established go-to-market strategy, validated product-market fit, and early enterprise customers. They are now investing in a senior commercial profile to scale predictable revenue and professionalise their sales function.

Procurement technology experience is a core requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity through to close
  • Convert founder-led pipeline into repeatable, scalable revenue
  • Build and manage a pipeline across mid-market and enterprise procurement organisations
  • Lead discovery, demos, and commercial negotiations with procurement, finance, and supply chain stakeholders
  • Partner closely with founders, product, and marketing to refine messaging and sales process
  • Help design and implement sales playbooks, tooling, forecasting, and CRM discipline
  • Provide structured market and customer feedback to influence product roadmap

About You

  • 5 years experience in B2B SaaS sales (BDR/SDR stepping up with significant closing exposure, or Account Executive background)
  • Strong preference for procurement technology domain experience (e.g., sourcing platforms, spend analytics, supplier management, contract lifecycle management, supply chain or adjacent procurement-focused enterprise software)
  • Demonstrated experience selling into procurement, finance, or supply chain functions
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment with autonomy and ambiguity
  • Proven track record of running structured discovery and closing complex B2B deals
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an appetite to help build a sales function from the ground up
  • Fluent English required; German is a plus but not essential
