As we continue to expand our project portfolio in Elements Green Deutschland GmbH, we are looking for a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) focused on BESS and Grid projects in full-time to support these projects across the full lifecycle --- from development and construction to operation.

Summary of the role and key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the technical design for utility-scale BESS projects from feasibility to "Ready-to-Build".
  • Manage the entire grid connection process (MV/HV), interfacing directly with DSOs and TSOs, ensuring compliance with VDE-AR-N 4110/4120/4130.
  • Validate and approve technical concepts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and layout designs.
  • Asses, approve and create requirement specifications for the entire components within the electrical balance of plant.
  • Prepare decision material for the management team on procurement decisions and technology scouting.
  • Implement and maintain technical standards to ensure all projects are "Audit-Ready" for investors and authorities.
  • Handle internal and external stakeholders of our projects.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc.), Power Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in renewable energy project engineering; specific experience with BESS or large-scale PV is a must.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of German grid codes, permitting processes, and technical standards.
  • Highly analytical mindset with strong decision-making capabilities and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory due to regulatory requirements and international partners.
