Ernsting's family

Did you know that... as a sustainably operating family business with around 2,000 stores in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, and a multi-award-winning online shop, we are one of the largest omnichannel providers in the European textile retail sector? Our customers enjoy an attractive price-performance ratio in clothing and home & living assortments for the whole family. This sense of family is also reflected in our daily interactions: a strong sense of community, communication at eye level, and respectful collaboration make our ever-growing Ernsting's family truly special.

What awaits you

  • You will shape the architecture and technical foundation for data-driven decisions, from efficient data integration to the provision of scalable data products.
  • In collaboration with Data Scientists and Reporting Engineers, you will realize data architectures based on SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks.
  • You will integrate and transform data from SAP and non-SAP systems to make it usable for Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning applications.
  • You will ensure high data quality through automated validation processes, structured monitoring, and robust governance concepts.
  • You will actively support the operationalization of analytics and machine learning pipelines.
  • You will contribute to the further development of our data strategy and bring in new technologies and best practices from the SAP and Azure environment.

What you bring

  • Several years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, ideally with a focus on e-commerce, digital analytics, or CRM.
  • A completed degree in statistics, business administration, data science, computer science, or related fields with appropriate specialization.
  • Very good knowledge of Python or R, as well as experience with Spark, SQL, and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Databricks, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience in developing and implementing predictive models, personalization algorithms, and segmentation approaches.
  • Experience in project management and collaboration with stakeholders from various departments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex analyses understandably and purposefully, both technically and business-oriented.
  • Enthusiasm for the business value of Data Science and AI, and the joy of driving new ideas forward.

Look forward to

  • Job & Family: We foster a strong sense of community on campus with a 37.5-hour work week and a daycare center right on campus.
  • Financial Benefits: Vacation and Christmas bonuses, company pension scheme, capital-forming benefits, corporate benefits, employee discounts, and bike leasing.
  • Feel-Good Factor: 30 vacation days, a free gym on campus, modern workplaces, several coffee hubs, and food spots with fresh menus.

  • Family Fun: Internal events and activities on campus with a pétanque court, padel court, and multi-sports field.
  • A Warm Welcome: With structured onboarding, regular feedback discussions, and individual development opportunities.
