Senior Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer – Remote (w/m/d)

Requirements

Must have:

• Several years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, ideally in product- or business-oriented teams.
• Mastery of descriptive statistics and the ability to contextualize KPIs to drive real decisions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with tools such as Python and modern BI/dashboarding tools (e.g., Superset).
• Initial exposure to data modeling or dbt is a big plus; you will grow into the rest with us.
• Ability to communicate complex issues understandably and ask the right questions.
• Structured, curious, self-responsible, and enjoy transforming data into impact.

Responsibilities:

• Develop meaningful reports, KPI systems, and dashboards that can be intuitively used by product, sales, and management.
• Conduct exploratory and targeted analyses, explain KPI developments (e.g., conversion, time-to-sale), and derive concrete recommendations for action for teams and managers.
• Document data models, measurement logic, and KPIs so that colleagues without deep data knowledge can work with them confidently.
• Identify dependencies and collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Engineering to cleanly translate and implement data requirements.
• Familiarize yourself with our data models, use SQL for self-service data retrieval, and take on smaller modeling and transformation tasks (e.g., using dbt).
• Independently manage topics, prioritize meaningfully, and advance data projects from idea to implementation.
