Your Mission: We are building an AI-powered co-pilot for real estate purchases - a product that makes advice more efficient, transparent, and human.

As Technical Lead & Lead Architect, you will be responsible for the technical further development of our digital financing assistant. You will combine strong backend and AWS expertise with architectural ownership and empower the team to build modern, scalable, and AI-ready systems. You will also be a sparring partner for the Product Lead and actively shape the technical vision of our product.

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the architecture and technical roadmaps of our serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
• You will build and develop a scalable, secure backend architecture for our assistant products.
• You will work hands-on on productive backend services in Node.js / TypeScript (approx. 50-60%).
• In the spirit of "You build it, you run it," you will provision and operate infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code.
• You enjoy working hands-on on the product 50-60% of the time.
• You will develop our application full-stack (NodeJS, TypeScript, React).
• You will create the technical foundation for AI-powered product features.
• You will ensure quality, scalability, performance, and security throughout the entire lifecycle.
• You will work closely within the Product Trio (Product, Tech, Design).
• You will technically empower the team, provide technical leadership to developers, and give clear direction.
• You will use AI tools in engineering reflectively and productively (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Codex), become an expert in your roles, contribute your own ideas, and drive projects independently - mutual development forms the basis for us.

Your Profile:

• Several years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, or Lead Architect.
• You are an expert in Node.js, TypeScript, and React (experience with React Router, Redux, and MaterialUI is a plus).
• Sound, practical experience with AWS technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., SQS, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally with AWS CDK.
• Strong architectural and system design understanding for scalable systems.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring developers.
• Strong product thinking and a high sense of responsibility.
• Experience with security and compliance requirements in a production environment.
• Experience in the design and operation of APIs, ideally also for agent-based or LLM-based systems (e.g., MCP).
• Very good German skills (min. C1) and professional English skills.
