About this job

The Evangelical Regional Administrations are service institutions of the Evangelical State Church in Württemberg. The Evangelical Regional Administration Göppingen advises and supports the evangelical church communities in the Geislingen-Göppingen church district in all administrative, financial, and personnel matters.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading and organizing the regional administration responsible for the Geislingen-Göppingen church district, with personnel responsibility for currently 34 employees
  • Advising the church district, especially the church district synod and the church district committee, on all administrative matters, statutes, participation in church tax distribution and allocation planning, as well as medium-term financial planning in the church district
  • Advising and supporting the church communities in the Geislingen-Göppingen church district according to the Ecclesiastical Law for the Modernization of Administration in the Evangelical State Church in Württemberg, especially church communities and their assistance to community leadership
  • Conducting training courses for those responsible in the church communities, especially for the assistance to community leadership
  • Maintaining contacts and negotiations with the staff representation
  • Representing the interests of the church communities on their behalf in dealings with state and municipal authorities

Your Profile

  • Eligibility for the higher general non-technical administrative service or a completed scientific university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant administration-related course of study
  • Independent work, high resilience, and a high degree of personal, communicative, and social competence and teamwork skills
  • Management skills and leadership experience, especially several years of experience in managing employees
  • Determination, inventiveness, assertiveness, innovative and conceptual thinking, willingness to learn, good organizational skills
  • Preferably extensive professional experience in budget, cash, and accounting, ideally also in personnel and construction matters, as well as several years of professional experience in general administrative law and civil law
  • Ideally, experience in (parish and church district) committee work
  • Willingness to support and help shape structural changes; changes are particularly pending in the areas of establishing a regional administration and further developing digitalization, as well as the transition from cash accounting to double-entry bookkeeping planned for 01.01.2026
  • Membership in a member church of the Evangelical Church in Germany is generally expected
