We are looking for you for our renowned client, an IT service provider with approx. 400 employees, for direct placement as a (Senior) Cyber Security Engineer. The focus is on operational IT security, cyber defense, and automation.

The position can be filled in Münster or fully remote in Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, operation, and further development of the IT security and cyber defense infrastructure
• Operational use and optimization of security tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/EPP, NDR, Firewalling)
• Automation of detection & response processes (Python, SOAR, Runbooks)
• Active participation in the SOC environment, including incident response
• Further development of internal security tools and mentoring of junior colleagues

Requirements:

• Completed IT training or studies, plus several years of experience in IT security / SOC / Security Operations
• Hands-on mentality as a Security Engineer
• Very good knowledge of SIEM, SOC processes, firewalls, and incident response
• Python skills for automation (Detection & Response as Code)
• Experience with SOAR, EDR/EPP, IDS/IPS; knowledge of Microsoft Security, SentinelOne, or Palo Alto is an advantage
• Very good German, good English (written and spoken)
