About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Technical Data Analyst (d/m/w) to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data collection processes, focusing on tracking technologies and data integration within our digital ecosystem. Your expertise will enable us to better understand user behavior across over 30 portals, providing valuable insights that influence content strategy, marketing, and subscription models. You will serve as a key interface between technical teams, stakeholders, and external service providers, translating business needs into effective technical solutions. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver personalized content, improve user experience, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of professional experience as a Tracking Specialist or Data Analyst, with a strong background in digital analytics and data management. You should have extensive experience with standard web analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Firebase. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential, and familiarity with Python or SQL, along with Google BigQuery, is highly advantageous. Knowledge of implementing tracking solutions for non-traditional web sources like CRM systems, Salesforce, and server-side events is a plus. You must be an effective communicator with a high degree of self-motivation, capable of working independently and collaboratively in an agile environment. Fluency in German (minimum C1 level) is required, as it is our primary language for team communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain technical tracking solutions across multiple digital platforms, ensuring accurate data collection and performance.
- Manage and optimize our Data, Storage, and Insight processes within our Lake-House platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring seamless integration and data quality.
- Act as the primary contact for tracking technologies such as Google Analytics, GTM, and Firebase, providing expert support and troubleshooting.
- Translate stakeholder requirements from editorial, business, subscription, and marketing teams into comprehensive tracking concepts and technical specifications.
- Ensure the reliable delivery of First-Party Data to our subscription and advertising units, supporting targeted marketing strategies.
- Create user-friendly reports and dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance the existing tracking setup, implementing updates and improvements as needed to stay aligned with industry best practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams within an agile framework (Kanban/Jira), contributing to continuous improvement and project success.
