About The Role
As a Data Analytics Engineer at Obungi GmbH, you will be an integral part of an agile team working on complex data-driven projects for a broad spectrum of clients. Your role involves translating business needs into technical solutions, designing and implementing scalable data platforms, and developing innovative analytics solutions. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their challenges and craft tailored data architectures that deliver tangible business value. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and other advanced tools within the Microsoft ecosystem.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing data pipelines, modeling data for analytics and AI applications, and ensuring the performance, scalability, and quality of data platforms. Your contributions will directly impact the success of client projects, enabling organizations to harness their data for strategic decision-making. Qualifications

Additional desirable qualifications include knowledge of Microsoft analytics tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Power BI, Databricks, or Apache Spark. Familiarity with data architecture, data modeling, governance, and data quality concepts, along with programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages, will be advantageous. Experience with Spark, Delta Parquet, version control systems like Git, and CI/CD pipelines will also be beneficial.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include working within an agile team to develop data analytics solutions across various industries, from initial concept to deployment. You will identify data-driven use cases with clients, understanding their business challenges and translating these into technical solutions that generate measurable value. Designing and implementing modern data platform architectures in the Microsoft Cloud environment, such as Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks, will be a key aspect of your role.
You will develop scalable data pipelines and models to facilitate analytics and AI applications, ensuring high performance, data quality, and compliance with governance standards. Continuous optimization of data platforms for performance and scalability will be part of your ongoing tasks. Additionally, you will contribute to internal knowledge sharing, staying updated on new technologies, best practices, and architectural approaches to enhance project delivery and innovation within the team.
