About The Company
The Arolsen Archives is an internationally recognized research center dedicated to documenting and preserving the history of Nazi persecution. As the world's largest archive related to victims and survivors of the National Socialism regime, it holds a collection of approximately 17.5 million records, which are part of the UNESCO World Document Heritage. These documents encompass a wide range of materials related to various victim groups and serve as a vital resource for society, historians, and researchers worldwide. The archive's holdings extend to over 100 million documents, primarily focusing on individual fates, and are continually expanding through ongoing research and digitization initiatives.
In line with its digital transformation strategy, the Arolsen Archives aims to make a significant portion of its collection searchable through advanced technologies by 2030. This involves digitizing documents, developing sophisticated indexing projects, and leveraging modern data management techniques. The organization is committed to innovative approaches, employing cutting-edge technologies, and fostering a collaborative environment to fulfill its societal and educational mission.
