About The Role
We are seeking a skilled IT-Administrator / IT System Engineer to join our team, specializing in Private, Hybrid, and Public Cloud solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability for our clients. You will work closely with our experienced team of IT professionals to deliver innovative solutions, support ongoing operations, and contribute to the development of our cloud offerings. The position offers an excellent work-life balance, with a standard "eight to five" schedule, flexible working arrangements, and optional voluntary on-call duties that are well-compensated. The role is primarily based in our office in Bretten, with a generous remote work policy that supports a healthy work environment and personal flexibility.
Qualifications
To thrive in this position, candidates should possess a relevant qualification such as a Fachinformatiker (Systemintegration), a university degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification. A strong enthusiasm for innovative IT solutions is essential. Candidates should have solid knowledge of Ethernet and IP-based network protocols and experience with at least some of the technologies and solutions we work with, including MS 365, Azure, VMware, NetApp, Veeam, and modern security solutions. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are required, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and professionally. The ideal candidate is structured, autonomous, reliable, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for continuous learning and professional development is highly valued, as is a proactive attitude towards staying current with technological advancements.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft 365 solutions such as Entra ID, Intune, Purview, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Managing on-premises server infrastructures, including Azure Local, VMware vSphere, and MS Hyper-V environments.
- Developing and maintaining innovative enterprise storage solutions, employing smart backup strategies with tools like NetApp and Veeam.
- Executing migration projects and operating MS Azure services in hybrid and cloud-native configurations.
- Configuring and managing modern security solutions, including next-generation firewalls, Zero-Trust networking, SD-WAN, VPNs, and advanced routing protocols.
- Implementing endpoint protection measures such as EDR/XDR and participating in security operations to safeguard client systems.
- Supporting remote working solutions, including Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
- Providing second-level support for our IT solutions, primarily assisting the IT departments of our clients remotely.
- Managing and monitoring customer network systems remotely to ensure continuous operation and security.
