About The Role

We are seeking an engaged and highly skilled Senior Java Developer (m/w/d) to join our team at ivv GmbH. This role focuses on application development within the domain of claims adjustment and insurance processes, specifically targeting damage and accident management systems. As a key contributor, you will work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with business analysts to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions. Your expertise will help enhance our application landscape, ensuring it remains robust, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification with proven experience as a Java developer. Experience working within agile frameworks, particularly SCRUM, is essential. You should have strong technical skills in Java and Jakarta EE, with familiarity in tools such as Jenkins, IntelliJ IDEA (preferably with Kotlin), Maven, JUnit, and GitLab. Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation is required. Excellent communication skills in German at a minimum of C1 level are necessary to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Additionally, qualities such as reliability, team spirit, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, aligning with the company's innovative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications within the claims and accident management landscape, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts to understand and implement technical solutions based on detailed requirements, including the preparation of user stories.
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
  • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices in software development.
  • Support the integration of new features and functionalities into existing systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative approaches and tools for project enhancement.
