About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our IT team at Dachser SE. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality, performance, and reliability. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, creating detailed test plans, and automating testing processes to enhance test coverage. You will collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to identify issues early, validate user experiences, and ensure that our software solutions meet both functional and performance expectations. Additionally, you will conduct manual and automated tests, including performance testing, to verify system robustness under various load conditions. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the integrity of our logistics platforms and supporting our mission to create the most intelligent logistics networks globally.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with substantial professional experience in quality assurance. Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar QA role, with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, is essential. Experience with automated testing tools, scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript, and performance testing tools will be highly advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing, with certifications like ISTQB being a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to diagnose issues effectively and develop solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for seamless collaboration across teams. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory to facilitate effective communication within our diverse and international environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure software quality, performance, and reliability.
• Create, maintain, and review detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on various requirements.
• Design and maintain automated test suites utilizing industry-standard tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Perform thorough manual testing, including exploratory testing, to identify defects and validate user experience.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, working closely with development teams to facilitate prompt resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Design and execute performance tests to evaluate system behavior under different load conditions, ensuring scalability and stability.
