About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer (m/w/d) to join our client's dynamic team in Frankfurt am Main. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new, fully modernized software platform tailored for IoT devices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about shaping the future of connected systems, actively participating in architectural decisions, and implementing scalable backend solutions using Rust. Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess several years of experience in backend development, demonstrating a solid understanding of web technologies and API design. Proficiency in Rust is highly desirable, or alternatively, extensive experience with backend languages such as Golang with a strong interest in transitioning to Rust. A good grasp of REST, JSON, WebSockets, and other web standards is essential. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable working within Linux environments and have experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams are also important.
Responsibilities
As a Backend Developer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Developing and enhancing a monitoring and control platform for connected IoT devices.
- Designing and implementing REST APIs and interfaces between system components, ensuring seamless communication and data flow.
- Building automated tests, including unit and integration tests, to maintain high-quality code.
- Establishing and improving CI/CD processes using GitLab, supporting continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- Collaborating closely with hardware and embedded teams, you will contribute to technical conception, effort estimation, and the independent implementation of features.
- Your active participation in architecture discussions and code reviews will help shape the technical direction of the project.
