(Senior) Broker (m/f/d) Management Liability
As a (Senior) Broker (m/f/d) Management Liability, you will independently manage commercial clients and cooperative brokers, from SMEs to large corporations. Your responsibilities include proactively acquiring new business in close partnership with your assigned brokers (including tendering and presenting results with clear recommendations) and ongoing client support, including managing annual renewals.
What awaits you in this position:
- Support for Cooperative Brokers: You will manage client relationships with our cooperative brokers, including:
- Joint management of commercial clients (including renewals).
- Providing support and information for questions and complex risk situations in D&O and other Financial Lines (legal protection insurance, fidelity insurance, etc.).
- Placing risks with insurers.
- Conducting joint client meetings.
- Support for Large Clients: You will manage large clients, either in collaboration with our cooperative brokers or directly.
- Tendering: You will conduct tender processes on and off our Finlex platform, developing complex insurance solutions. This involves:
- Developing a deep understanding of the client's ML risk.
- Skillfully placing and negotiating risks in the insurance market.
- Negotiating case-specific wording in coordination with Finlex Claims, Legal, and Product Management teams.
- Negotiation & Cooperation: You will negotiate with existing and future partners (insurers, insurance brokers, corporate clients) and cultivate strong, sustainable business relationships.
- New Client Acquisition: You will actively participate in and drive new client acquisition.
- Representation: You will represent Finlex at industry and client events, write expert articles and blog posts, and give presentations and webinars.
- Technical Point of Contact: You will serve as a technical point of contact and "expertise provider" within and outside the team.
- Claims Support: You will support our Claims team in managing ML claims.
What is most important for this position:
- (Several years of) experience in independently managing strategic client relationships in the commercial insurance sector and negotiating with financial lines risk carriers.
- Completed degree in Business/Law or completed vocational training in insurance.
- Solid expertise in D&O insurance and supplementary coverages, with a keen awareness of insurance market requirements.
- Strong customer and sales orientation, assertiveness, negotiation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities to present complex issues clearly (primarily in German, but also in English).
- Team spirit, commitment, and an independent, self-directed, and structured approach with effective time and priority management.
- Affinity for platform technology, modern IT solutions, and a startup mentality.
- A strong network in the German Financial Lines insurance market would be a significant advantage.
