Introduction
Fleydo English School is a Germany-based online English school offering 1-on-1 lessons to children and teenagers across Europe and beyond. We are expanding our teaching team and looking for passionate, qualified English teachers in South Africa to join us.
This is a fully remote, freelance position with a EUR-based hourly rate — teach from your own home, set your own hours, and earn in a stable international currency. Our curriculum, platform, and materials are all provided, so you can focus on what matters most: teaching.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality 1-on-1 online English lessons to students aged 6--17
- Follow Fleydo's structured, CEFR-aligned curriculum — no need to plan lessons from scratch
- Use our digital teaching platform with built-in interactive materials, games, and assessments
- Track student progress and provide clear, encouraging feedback to students and parents
- Build long-term relationships with your regular students and help them grow in confidence and fluency
- Participate in occasional team meetings and training sessions (fully online)
- Maintain a professional, child-safe teaching environment at all times
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required:
- Native or near-native English speaker (South African English very welcome)
- TEFL, TESOL, CELTA certificate OR a degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of online teaching experience (young learners preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and genuine passion for teaching children
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps)
- Laptop or PC with HD webcam and quality headset
- A quiet, well-lit, professional home teaching space
- Availability of at least 10 hours per week
Preferred (not required):
- Experience teaching ESL to non-native speakers
- Familiarity with CEFR framework
- Additional languages (German, Turkish, Arabic, or Spanish a plus)
- Experience with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
Package & Remuneration
- Competitive EUR-based hourly rate, paid monthly via international bank transfer
- Rate discussed individually based on qualifications and experience
- Freelance / independent contractor agreement — you invoice Fleydo monthly
- Paid teacher training and onboarding

- Long-term, stable work with regular students (not gig-based)
