Network Security Engineer (m/w/d)

About Us

Our client is a nationally operating, owner-managed, and multiple award-winning IT service provider specializing in services in the areas of Network Security, Microsoft Security, and Windows Server environments. The approximately 200 employees are based at the main location in Cologne and six other locations throughout Germany. Due to growth plans, the Network Security team is looking for reinforcement.

Responsibilities

• Independent project planning and execution in the firewall environment (Sophos, Fortinet)
• Technical customer consulting and occasional support in PreSales
• Occasional support in high-level support

Profile

• At least three years of professional experience in the firewall environment
• Good experience working with products from manufacturers Fortinet or Sophos (alternatively Checkpoint or Palo Alto)
• Existing certifications (e.g., FCA, FCP, NSE)
• Good experience in the network environment is an advantage (e.g., with Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, Juniper)
• Fluent German and good English skills
