Your Responsibilities

  • You will develop a tax strategy, evaluate tax law developments, and plan and optimize the tax expenses of the FRITZ! Group in collaboration with the CFO and the VP Finance.
  • You will manage our external tax advisors and monitor the proper preparation of tax returns and balance sheets.
  • You will be the primary point of contact for VAT-related issues within the FRITZ! Group, including the review, optimization, and documentation of VAT-relevant processes.
  • You will be responsible for the documentation and application for the R&D tax credit. To this end, you will identify eligible projects together with software development, document them, and be responsible for the application according to the FZulG.
  • You will ensure compliance with international transfer pricing guidelines with our European subsidiaries (currently Austria and Italy, prospectively also the Netherlands).
  • You will support the preparation and handling of national and international tax audits.
  • You will be a point of contact for internal stakeholders as well as external tax advisors and authorities.
  • You will report to the VP Finance.

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed tax advisor examination or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in tax law, ideally in retail and/or a medium-sized development company, or advising industry clients in a tax consulting firm.
  • Experience with the R&D tax credit and knowledge of the application and submission procedure are desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of German and international tax law, ideally also in the area of transfer pricing.
  • Willingness to shape the topic and within the finance department.
  • Very good analytical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to communicate complex issues understandably.
  • Fluent German (min. C1) and very good English skills (min. B2/C1 level).
  • The position can be filled full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (min. 30 hours/week).
