Your Role
We are seeking a dedicated and communicative Sales Engineer (m/f/d) for Valves/Pumps in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries for field sales, to join our team at the Büchen site as soon as possible.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Sales Territory Management: Responsible for the sales territory Germany and selectively the DACH region, driving business development and building sustainable customer relationships.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the face of the company in the pharmaceutical market, shaping our success with pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract manufacturers, biotech companies, and their technical service providers through active new customer acquisition and strategic expansion of existing partnerships.
- Sales Process Management: Independently lead the entire sales process, from qualified inquiries, technical clarification, and offer preparation to successful closing and handover for implementation.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify market and customer potentials (e.g., sterile processes, CIP/SIP, hygienic valve technology, single-use/hybrid solutions) and develop concrete business and project opportunities.
- Solution Development: Develop tailored solutions for GMP-regulated environments, considering compliance, qualification, and documentation, leveraging in-depth technical understanding.
- Strategic Customer Development: Conduct structured market, pipeline, and competitor analyses, prepare them independently, and regularly incorporate them into management reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as Application/Process Engineering, Proposal Management, Service, and Key Account Management, and actively represent the company at trade fairs, audits, and industry events.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Sales Experience: Several years of successful B2B sales experience (minimum 5 years) with complex, ideally capital goods, preferably with experience in the pharmaceutical market/GMP environment.
- Skills: Strong closing ability, goal orientation, and communication skills on both technical and commercial levels.
- Presence: Confident demeanor in technical discussions, presentations, and negotiations with contacts from engineering, purchasing, and quality/validation.
- Work Style: Structured, analytical, and strategic approach combined with a high degree of personal responsibility and organizational talent.
- Travel: High willingness to travel within Germany and selectively in the DACH region (approx. 50-70%) to ensure customer proximity and market development.
- Languages & Tools: Very good German and English skills, proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Technical understanding of process and plant engineering for GMP-regulated environments to accurately capture customer requirements and present solutions competently.
