Job Overview

As a Senior Government Relations Advisor, you will utilize your extensive connections within EU institutions and German government bodies to provide critical insights into political and economic policies. You will analyze EU and German policy trends, advocate for strategic interests, and foster partnerships to strengthen Global Insights' influence in the political and economic domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage networks in EU institutions and German government bodies to obtain firsthand policy and economic intelligence.
• Monitor and analyze EU and German political and economic policies, including trade agreements, fiscal policies, and regional development strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key policymakers, government officials, and economic stakeholders in Germany and the EU.
• Provide strategic advice to internal teams and clients on navigating regulatory and economic landscapes to achieve business objectives.
• Advocate for Global Insights' interests in policy discussions, government consultations, and international forums.
• Produce high-level reports on political and economic trends, risks, and opportunities impacting global markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or policy advocacy, with a focus on political and economic issues.
• Established networks within EU institutions and German government bodies, with a proven ability to access firsthand policy and economic intelligence.
• Strong understanding of EU political frameworks and German economic policies, including trade, investment, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; additional EU languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in policy analysis, stakeholder mapping, and strategic communication.

Preferred

• Master's degree or equivalent in Public Policy, International Relations, or Economics.
• Experience working with or within EU institutions, German government agencies, or international organizations.
• Familiarity with cross-border economic policies or trade negotiations.
• Track record of building strategic partnerships in political and economic spheres across the EU and Germany.
