The Role: DevOps Engineer – Windows Infrastructure & Identity
Work mode: Remote from Germany
Languages: English (C1-C2); German is a plus.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Windows Infrastructure and Directory Services to join an agile team working on critical enterprise systems in a modern, cloud-oriented environment.
This is a fully remote position based in Germany, with occasional visits to the office.
Your Role
You will be part of an agile development and operations team (Scrum), focusing on the design, implementation and maintenance of directory services and Windows infrastructure components.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing operational tasks (incident handling, ticket resolution)
- Driving continuous improvement and automation of infrastructure services
- Designing, planning, and deploying new solutions into production
- Contributing to documentation and best practices
- Supporting certification and audit processes
Tech Environment
- Directory Services & IAM: Active Directory, OpenLDAP, Ping Identity (IDM / DS)
- Infrastructure: WSUS, KMS, Windows Server, RHEL
- Automation & DevOps: Ansible, Puppet, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, scripting
- Containers & Modern Stack: Podman, Traefik
- Tools: Jira, Confluence
What You Bring
- Strong experience with Active Directory / Directory Services
- Solid background in Windows Infrastructure
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible preferred)
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitLab
- Experience with Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments
- Familiarity with containerization technologies
- A cloud-native mindset and proactive approach to automation
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
