The Opportunity

We are hiring for our Platform InfraSec squad, responsible for automation and decision-making regarding underlying CSP and compute security features for Grafana Cloud. This includes cloud service provider IAM, Kubernetes RBAC, secret management, and workload security. The squad focuses on simplifying secure decision-making for engineers by providing secure templates and embedding security best practices into development tools, as well as conducting security reviews and providing advisory services.

• Approach development holistically, owning the full code lifecycle from design docs to integration testing.
• Have experience operating your code, with a grounding in both operator and developer perspectives.
• The Platform team primarily uses Go, Python, and Shell.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Familiarity with CSP IAM and Kubernetes RBAC.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, Crossplane, or Helm.
• Experience operating and managing workloads on Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM).

Bonus Points

• Previous experience in or with open-source projects.
• Experience with multiple Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with threat modeling, secure architecture reviews, and security tabletop exercises.
• Experience with Okta administration.

Compensation

In Germany, the base compensation range for this role is EUR 97,034 - EUR 116,441. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
