The Opportunity: Software Engineer - Grafana Cloud Integrations

This role is available for candidates located in the UK, Germany, Spain, Ireland, and Sweden.

What is Grafana Cloud?

The Grafana Cloud Observability department focuses on enabling developers to understand the health and performance of their applications and infrastructure. We provide tools to instrument code, ingest observability data into Grafana Cloud, and visualize it.

In this role, you will be part of the team developing our portfolio of integrations, allowing customers to collect and visualize metrics from various systems and applications. The software you create is a core building block for Grafana Cloud users and actively contributes to our open-source technologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

Bring your software engineering expertise to develop and maintain the tooling that powers our cloud integrations and observability apps. You will work on developing, maintaining, and scaling our infrastructure observability features in Grafana Cloud.

• Develop and maintain features for Observability solutions in Grafana Cloud.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of high-quality, scalable integrations for various infrastructure components, databases, and applications.
• Build prototypes and present ideas within a cross-functional team.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud-native technologies and development methodologies.
• Represent Grafana Labs in meetups, conferences, and social media forums.

As a remote-first company with a largely remote engineering organization, we rely on video calls for regular meetings. An independent attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Experience in Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Solid experience with at least one programming language. We primarily use Go and TypeScript, but familiarity with Python, Rust, C, C++, or similar is transferable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team and quickly acquire new knowledge.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.

Bonus Points For:

• Familiarity with observability tooling (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience contributing to or maintaining Open Source projects.
• Experience with cloud computing technologies.

Compensation & Rewards (Germany):

• Base compensation range: EUR 76,000 - EUR 95,000. Actual compensation depends on level, experience, and skillset.
• All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) for team member ownership.
• Compensation ranges are country-specific.
