Your Responsibilities

In this role of significant responsibility, you will act as a key liaison between Finance, IT and international stakeholders for our group-wide financial solutions.

  • Providing advice and support on the planning of IT systems and the implementation of requirements within the record-to-report area of the separate financial statements and the non-underwriting part of the order-to-cash process
  • Analysis and implementation of system changes
  • Participation in projects as a team member or project manager
  • Identification of standardisation and automation potential and its implementation in the solutions under your responsibility
  • Cost estimation for change requests
  • Responsibility for 2nd and 3rd level support in the analysis of incidents and problems
  • Technical and managerial leadership of currently seven employees
  • Supporting the line manager in further developing the department with regard to new forms of collaboration and the introduction of new technologies as part of the digital transformation in the insurance industry,

Your Profile

  • Several years' professional experience in a senior role with line or cross-functional management responsibility in a finance-related field
  • A proven track record of successfully completed projects, preferably as a project manager
  • A degree in Economics, Business Administration, (Business) Information Technology or Mathematics, or a comparable qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of financial processes and relevant IT systems
  • Expertise in IFRS 17, Solvency II or the German Commercial Code (HGB) is welcome
  • Experience in working with group consolidation systems
  • A confident and engaging manner when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to shape processes in order to proactively drive change
  • A working style characterised by initiative and a sense of responsibility
  • Business fluency in German and conversational fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately three to four times a year for an average of one week each time
