Join our Insurance-Linked Securities division at our Hannover / Germany location on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible, as an Underwriter / IT Expert for Process Automation and Digitization.

In our Insurance-Linked Securities team, we assume insurance risks and transfer them to institutional investors. In addition to your work as an underwriter, you will actively participate in automating our processes in close cooperation with Hannover Rück's IT department.

What you can look forward to

  • You will underwrite reinsurance contracts and transfer the risks to investment funds.
  • You will ensure that the funds provide sufficient collateral and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • You will regularly communicate with business partners, reinsurance brokers, and fund managers worldwide.
  • You will develop and negotiate fronting or cession agreements and manage their ongoing controlling.
  • You will identify automation potential in underwriting, formulate the associated technical requirements, and independently implement process automations.
  • IT will support you in implementing and further developing technical solutions.
  • You will contribute your experience to making processes more efficient -- from structured data preparation to workflow automation.

What you bring to the table

  • A completed Master's degree in (Business) Informatics, Economics, or Business Administration -- ideally with a focus on technical issues or data processes.
  • Relevant professional experience in underwriting in primary or reinsurance, preferably in the context of fronting structures.
  • The ability to analyze complex topics and clearly translate technical requirements between the business department and IT.
  • A strong interest in and demonstrable success in process automation, digitization, and technical optimization.
  • Fluent English and German (at least conversational level), complemented by excellent communication skills.
  • You react openly and constructively to feedback, review new ideas and decisions in exchange with others, and adapt flexibly to changing requirements.
