Location: Hamburg

The digitalization and process automation are the core of our tasks to continue writing the success story of our company. With us, you will find exciting and complex tasks that are solved and supported in a sixteen-person team in inhouse consulting for the HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe. The job focuses on the further development of our digital customer interface on the web and in our service app by providing new online forms and self-services.

Do you keep an overview even with high complexity, as well as difficult situations and abstract problems challenge you? Perfect! Then you are the optimal fit to support our team. It's great if technology excites you and you already know the following terms or are only missing a few that you want to learn:

API, BPMN, HTML / CSS, JavaScript / jQuery, XML / XPath / XSLT / JSON, React, Rest, SQL, Python, Powershell, Jira or Scrum

Your Tasks

  • Requirements and error management in close contact with clients from operational departments in the context of form development and processing with varying degrees of automation.
  • You develop solution scenarios that you evaluate and coordinate from an entrepreneurial perspective regarding costs, benefits, and strategic viability.
  • After the solution decision, you support the creation of concepts, coordination with IT, and coordinate and plan business acceptance tests and rollout. Depending on the task, you may also implement the solution completely independently. For example, Xima Formcycle or React are used.
  • Operational monitoring and, if necessary, coordination with service providers complete the range of tasks.
  • Team- and discipline-spanning project work is one of the common working modes alongside operational line work.

Your Profile

  • Fluent (C2) German language skills in speaking and writing (all clarification communication takes place in German).
  • You have completed a degree in a STEM subject area or can provide comparable training qualifications.
  • Handling processes, understanding the associated system landscapes (databases, interfaces, web services, etc.), and a high affinity for data processing characterize you or you strive for this.
  • You have mastered the MS Office world perfectly, but you are not afraid of scripting, with experience in Javascript and possibly React being desirable.
  • You are a resilient team player and can visualize / present complex issues understandably.
  • Our policyholders are important to you and you develop solutions for them with commitment.
  • With your strong communication skills, it is easy for you to integrate into a team of specialists and develop new solutions in close cooperation with the departments and IT colleagues, as well as optimize existing processes.
  • You are curious and innovative - and enjoy learning new topics & IT tools.
  • In problem situations, you are solution-oriented, creative, and willing to compromise - but also assertive in the interest of our customers.
