They are seeking an experienced HR professional to join their team in an end-to-end HR role. This is a dynamic, international environment and you will have the chance to build scalable people processes in a high‑performance culture.
Professional level of English & German are essential.
This role is a full-time position, but there is the potential to consider people on a 35 hour basis.
The Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior HR Specialist to deliver comprehensive HR support across two European offices, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, efficiency, and compliance with local employment regulations. In this role, you will partner closely with the Senior HR Manager for Germany and Switzerland, while also collaborating with broader EMEA HR teams---including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Development, and Shared Services---to drive seamless and impactful HR initiatives across the region.
Beyond operational responsibilities, you will play an active role in shaping the employee experience by contributing to HR projects and navigating employee relations matters with professionalism and care. You will also lead and support local strategic HR initiatives, bringing forward innovative ideas and a creative mindset to drive continuous improvement and add meaningful value to the organisation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Employee Experience: Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to deliver a seamless onboarding journey. Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing prompt and effective support while escalating complex matters where necessary.
- HR Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation in Germany and Switzerland to ensure full compliance. Act as a trusted advisor, offering clear guidance and insight on regulatory matters.
- HR Systems & Payroll: Ensure HR systems are consistently accurate and up to date, supporting the precise and timely processing of monthly payroll.
- Benefits Administration: Collaborate with the Total Rewards team to review, manage, and enhance employee benefits, ensuring competitive and effective offerings.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary liaison for key HR vendors, including payroll providers, insurance partners, pension administrators, and well-being services, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Policy Development: Continuously refine and develop HR policies, ensuring alignment with local regulations and organisational best practices.
- Health & Safety: Champion a strong health and safety culture by partnering with company medical professionals and organising regular physical and mental well-being initiatives.
- Diversity & Well-being: Drive impactful diversity and well-being initiatives, collaborating with Talent Development and business leaders to design and deliver engaging training and programmes.
Your Profile
- Languages: Demonstrates business-level fluency in both German and English, enabling effective communication across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Education & Experience: Holds a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, complemented hands-on HR experience---ideally within an international, fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Brings strong expertise in German payroll processes and HR policies, alongside a solid understanding of local labour legislation and benefits programmes.
- Attributes: Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic setting. Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organisation.
