Senior Oracle Database Architect (m/w/d)
About the Company
As a key central role, shape the database landscape of a globally active technology company - in this responsible position, you combine strategic architectural work with operational excellence and sustainably drive the further development of a global Oracle platform.
Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy:
- Continuous further development of the technical database architecture, including a clear roadmap in a hybrid environment (on-premise, cloud-based).
Lifecycle Management:
- Planning, control, and optimization of the entire database lifecycle - from design and implementation to operation, migration, and decommissioning.
Responsibility for Operations:
- Overall responsibility for stable, secure, and performant database operations - with the right balance between control and hands-on activity.
Budget & Resource Planning:
- Technical and economic planning of investments, operating costs, and further development measures for database solutions.
Global 3rd Level Support:
- Support for international locations with complex database topics and critical incidents.
International Collaboration:
- Close cooperation with globally distributed teams in India, China, and other regions - confident, respectful, and solution-oriented in an intercultural environment.
Profile
- Completed degree or comparable professional experience.
- Very good experience as an Oracle DBA / Database Architect with sound knowledge of Oracle Database 19c and higher.
- Practical experience in the operation and architecture of Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) environments.
- Very good understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and a clear motivation to consistently focus on cloud technologies from a database perspective.
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for replication between clusters and locations.
- Knowledge of RAC One Node and basic understanding of classic RAC environments.
- Additional experience with other database systems such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL is an advantage.
- Structured, solution-oriented approach and a high degree of responsibility.
- German language skills at least B1 level and fluent English, both written and spoken.
