Your Responsibilities:

• Server Administration: Maintain and optimize our IT infrastructure (Linux servers, virtualization, cloud services).
• IT Security and Compliance: Establish, develop, and monitor security policies and protective measures. Identify vulnerabilities and proactively develop solutions to protect our systems.
• Third-Party System Integration: Integrate and administer interfaces to external systems and partner solutions.
• User Support: Assist colleagues with IT questions and ensure smooth IT operations.
• Hosting Operations: Manage and optimize our hosting environments, including reverse proxy, web server, and database servers (MySQL).
• Container Platform: Optimize, secure, and further develop our Docker hosting infrastructure.
• Internal Services: Operate and maintain central internal systems like Wiki, file server, and uptime monitoring.

Your Qualifications:

• Solid Linux and Shell knowledge for efficient system management and automation.
• DevOps expertise (Ansible, Docker, etc.) with a passion for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in building and operating DevOps platforms (e.g., GitHub Services) to optimize workflows.
• Web application hosting with a focus on scalability and availability.
• Expertise in MySQL/MariaDB scaling and monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
• Experience with logging servers (Grafana/Loki) for effective monitoring and error analysis.
• Reverse proxy and cache management (Varnish, nginx) for performance enhancement and load balancing.
• In-depth knowledge of security and data protection best practices, e.g., hosting exclusively in Germany with German providers.
• Proactive and excellent communication skills, including with non-technical individuals, to convey complex topics understandably.
• High sense of responsibility and willingness to tackle challenges and implement solutions.
• Efficiency and cost-consciousness, e.g., by utilizing Hetzner hosting and other cost-effective solutions.
