Here in Düsseldorf, as a Portfolio Manager (m/f/d), you will help to further develop and expand the business of Internationale Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH (INKA).

Your Responsibilities

As a Portfolio Manager (m/f/d) in Fund Advisory Management, you will act for special and retail funds, ensuring a smooth workflow and the optimization of our daily trading activities for multi-asset products.

  • Processing investment ideas and making discretionary investment decisions (including consideration of sustainability risks).
  • Execution and settlement of orders in stocks, bonds, derivatives (including OTC derivatives), FX, target funds, certificates, and ETFs for the portfolio management of our retail and special fund mandates.
  • Analysis, monitoring, and management of trading-related risks associated with order placement and the applicable investment guidelines.
  • Exercise, instruction, and placement of capital increases and IPOs.
  • Active communication with internal and external customers*, brokers*, consultants*, custodians, and other service providers.
  • Preparation and participation in investment committee meetings.
  • Development, implementation, and potential programming of measures for workflow optimization in order management and participation in divisional projects.
  • Preparation of analyses and reports, including those on trading activity and best execution.
  • Support for internal and external interfaces in all fund and mandate trading and settlement-related matters.

Your Profile

  • You have a completed university degree in economics or a comparable qualification, as well as relevant further qualifications (CFA, CIIA, etc.).
  • You have several years of professional experience in portfolio management, trading of securities, and derivatives.
  • Experience with sustainability (ESG), ideally in an investment context, is an advantage.
  • You have initial experience in using MTFs (e.g., Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess) and an interest in global financial markets.
  • You have very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, possess good technical and mathematical understanding, and have initial experience with Python and SQL.
  • You have a quick grasp, very good analytical skills, and a strong ability to prepare and present analytically derived insights.
  • You have a professional and competent demeanor combined with the pleasure of exchange and communication with internal and external stakeholders*, as well as the ability to contribute your knowledge and commitment to our portfolio management team.
  • Very good communication skills, an independent and responsible working style, an entrepreneurial mindset, and strong teamwork skills characterize you.
  • Fluent German and very good English skills complete your profile.
