About Us

Our partner specializes in the optimization and modernization of mainframe systems, supporting renowned clients with replatforming processes into the world of cloud and DevOps. Established in this field since 2007, they also engage in international projects and leverage the latest AI tools, including through a dedicated startup subsidiary. To strengthen their team at the location north of Mannheim, or for a completely remote position, they are seeking skilled individuals in system programming.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your team on challenging and exciting projects involving mainframe systems.
  • Plan, conceptualize, and develop customized solutions focusing on optimization and stability.
  • Maintain and operate existing applications in diverse configurations.
  • Contribute to replatforming concepts (e.g., move to cloud).
  • Enhance our analysis tools.
  • Analyze and evaluate new technologies.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent experience.
  • Many years of experience as a system programmer in the mainframe environment, ideally with experience in conceptualizing and maintaining system software.
  • Extensive knowledge of z/OS, SMP/E, REXX, Assembler, COBOL, and Job Control Language.
  • Knowledge of DB2 for z/OS, DevOps, and cloud technologies is advantageous.
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
