Your Responsibilities

  • You will support the operation, maintenance, and further development of modern enterprise networks.

  • You will analyze network disruptions and performance issues and assist in their resolution.

  • You will accompany change implementations and support technical optimizations.

  • You will work in the environment of LAN, WAN, and Data Center networks.

  • You will document technical analyses, changes, and solutions in a structured and comprehensible manner.

  • You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and operations teams.

Your Profile

Must-have

  • Solid foundations in TCP/IP and basic analysis of packet flows

  • Knowledge of routing technologies, especially Static / Default Routing as well as BGP / MP-BGP

  • Experience with network access control, e.g., ACL and NAT

  • Good knowledge of Layer 2 technologies such as STP, VLANs, Trunking, EtherChannel, and HSRP

  • Experience with IPSec VPNs, both policy-based and route-based, including troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of VRF, VPNv4, and MPLS VPN

  • Structured approach to troubleshooting, e.g., for latency problems, CRC errors, or interface degradations

  • Experience with Cisco or Arista network devices

  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken

  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations

  • Willingness to undergo a security check according to German regulations (SÜ2)

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of Underlay / Overlay network architectures

  • Experience with VXLAN-EVPN

  • Know-how in Spine-Leaf architectures and Data Center fabrics

  • Basic knowledge in the area of Next Generation Firewalls

  • Understanding of basic security policies

  • Experience with F5 Load Balancing on Layer 4 / Layer 7

  • Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP

Your Background

  • Completed vocational training in the IT sector, e.g., as an IT specialist,

  • or a degree with a focus on computer science, IT, or telecommunications,

  • or comparable practical professional experience in the network environment
